Prof. Job Nmadu

Prof. Job Nda Nmadu is the President of the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists, as well as Professor of Agricultural Economics. He obtained BSc Agriculture (1987), MSc Agricultural Economics (1998) and PhD in Agricultural Economics (2002) specialising in Econometrics all from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.
He assumed a faculty position in the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Nigeria in 1992. In 2006 he joined the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria as a Senior Lecturer and was later elevated to Deputy Director, Quality Assurance and Productivity of FUT in 2018.
Prof. Nmadu served as Chairman of the Technical Committee of the World Bank/CSDP Electrification (2013 – 2016) and as Member of the Task Force for Borehole Project (2006-2019) of Patishabakolo Community, Niger State. He was Secretary (1998-2001), Assistant Secretary (2001-2004) and Acting President (2014-2017) of Pati-Shabakolo Development Association, Niger State. He also served as consultant/expert in various projects including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of Etisalat base stations in 16 states of Northern Nigeria (2011), Environment Audit of AshakaCem Plc (2012), Needs Assessment of IFAD-VCDP LGAs in Niger State (2017) and proposed LGAs in Niger State (2019). He is presently the State Collaborator for the USAID funded Feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural Policy.
Prof. Nmadu belongs to some professional associations notably Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists (NAAE), Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA), International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE) and World Economics Association (WEA). Professor Nmadu published more than 100 papers in Journals, peer-reviewed conference proceedings, technical reports and textbooks involving more than 50 collaborators within the University and around the world.
